Rocky Mountain Security Group, LLC / dba "Trustworthy Locksmith"
SMS/Text Policy
SMS Messaging Consent Policy
This document outlines the official process by which Rocky Mountain Security Group (a mobile Locksmith service) obtains explicit, verifiable consent from our customers to receive SMS (text message) communications related to the services we provide. Our policy is designed to ensure full compliance with industry regulations and to respect our customers’ privacy.
Our Customer Opt-In Process
To ensure complete transparency and compliance, we follow a mandatory two-step confirmation process to enroll any customer in our SMS notification service. Please note that providing consent to receive SMS messages is entirely optional and is never a condition for receiving service from us.
Step 1: Initial Verbal Inquiry & Disclosure
Our process begins when a customer calls us to request locksmith services. During this initial phone conversation, a member of our team will ask for the customer’s verbal permission to send them service-related text messages, such as appointment confirmations, status updates, and arrival alerts. Our staff will explicitly ask the customer a question similar to: “To send you appointment confirmations and arrival alerts, do we have your permission to send you text messages?”
Step 2: Required SMS Keyword Confirmation (Auditable Opt-In)
If the customer provides verbal consent during the call, we immediately inform them that they will receive an initial text message to formally confirm their subscription.
This first SMS message, which constitutes the formal opt-in request, reads as follows:
“Rocky Mountain Security Group (a mobile Locksmith service): Please reply YES to confirm you want to receive service notifications. Msg&data rates may apply. For help, text HELP. Reply STOP to cancel.”

Text Messaging Consent:
I consent to receive text messages to make or confirm appointments and to contact our business with questions I may have. I understand that text messaging is sent to a standard phone number. I agree not to share any information that would be considered protected by our company. By communicating via text, I acknowledge the inherent risk that I am sharing my own information.

I understand that this decision can be changed at any time by making a request in person, on the phone, or by text message. We obtain consent through contact forms on our website and on our Contact Us page, where we have a checkbox with the opt-in language: By checking this box, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Rocky Mountain Security Group LLC. You may reply STOP to opt-out at any time or reply HELP for assistance. Messages and data rates may apply, and messaging frequency may vary. Please see the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
To opt in, text: START.
To opt-out, text: STOP, and you will receive no further messages from Rocky Mountain Security Group LLC.
For help, text: HELP.
A formal, auditable record of consent is only considered complete after the customer actively replies to this message with the keyword “YES”. No further service-related messages will be sent until this keyword confirmation is received from the customer. This affirmative reply is stored as a verifiable record of explicit consent for our records.
